Ever since you brought notesnook onto your channel, i said goodbye to evernote 🔥, notesnook is the best.

Henry, I've not watched the whole video yet ( i'm planning to) but it would've been best practise to aknowledge Notesnook often sponsors your videos at the very begining of the video, so viewers that might not necesarily know this will be aware of the potential conflict of interests. Im sure it was not disingenuous (you tend to do sponsor blocks very genuinely) but it would've been so much better.

we love private notes! i have tons of (supposedly) valuable ideas in my notes, and thankfully stopped using my Google account to log in and synch to my email. the nativity we all have before we become aware of the risks (of trusting our data with a huge, cold, greedy corporation)

They mad a good way and alot of progress. The Selfhost option is important for the privacy focused people, however the small things like Keyboard shortcuts, slash command palette and tab options sounds small but are currently a bummer and not fully done. But I like that they currently seems to speeding up the developing. Keeping an Eye on.

someone needs to make something like notesnook but collaborative (like skiff notes was, but ideally more open source). I may work on trying to make this next semester...

The good thing is the price is fair. for other regions u pay just 10 bucks, not all over the world the same price.

There is nothing wrong with using sublime as a text editor

Not sure if he mentioned where the servers are, but I think they’re hosted by Hetzner in Germany?

electron take less resources for the corp but taxes the users for resources(so corp doesnt care but user gets more features for free)
well theres react native to build native for both mobile and desktop

Theoretically I can post encrypted text in to any hosted notes application.

This might be a stupid question but here it is.

How impossible is that? If it's the most important person in the world and targetted by people with resources, and the encrypted data was somehow copied over to their super super powerful computers to decrypt, how long do you think it will take to get the data without the key? Is that still possible still?
