I have heard somewhere that Bowie was said to be quite approving of the music of Kate Bush which I'm sure would have been a great compliment to Kate Bush because she was really into his music!

This song just makes me feel so happy and at peace, I love the demo as well. Another song I desperately need on Spotify! It's so beautiful.

I ADORE this but the piano only demo has so much more spirituality and it moves me. It's slower and Kate's pauses are stunning x

Amazing! She's only 15 years old here (singing and playing piano)! One of the three of her songs picked by David Gilmour (the 2 others were Man With The Child In His Eyes, and the Saxophone Song) that he had produced and presented to EMI to get her signed.

I wish the chorus stayed the same as in the demo, not rushed like here. A break with the drums, after ''A star upon me'' it goes straight into ''To be one in your...'' - very fast, and in the demo she nicely has time to sing ''upon me'', with longer notes. Still, it's pretty and I love Kate!

It's nice. Could've fit on The Kick Inside pretty well.
Wasn't it the song that was played on a radio show in the late 70s or the early 80s when they interviewed Kate Bush, and Kate said half-jokingly that she'd agree to them doing this if she'll shut her ears? Seems like her attitude towards her pre-TKI material, as well as her early material in general, has changed in 40 years..

ooooh this is good but im keen to find out the process of deciding that this would be remastered as KB has historically seemed to avoid these old demos apart from the few that ended up released. Sounds really fresh they did a great job!
