I may be the only person in Britain to remember this, but when this song was first released, the video was shown simultaneously on BBC1 and ITV. How do I know this ? Well, I was a six-year old, sitting watching TV. on a little black and white portable in my parents' kitchen one Saturday morning when I started channel-hopping (as I always did) between Swap-Shop on BBC1 and Tiswas on ITV Anglia, only to find the gorgeous Kate Bush wailing away on both channels at the very same time. Fascinating, eh ?!...

I was 14 when Wuthering Heights was released. My mind was blown away the first time I heard the song on the radio ... Who is this? Where did this awesome song come from? It was so unique and exciting. I've been a loyal fan since then. Her work is just incredible. She remains untouchable ... a true genius and artist.

OH MY GOD I'M FINALLY REUNITED WITH ONE OF MY FAVOTITE CHILDHOOD SONGS! I've been into Kate Bush lately, I absolutely adore her albums "Hounds of Love" and "The Dreaming" but I hadn't given this song a listen until now. As it turns out, it's one of the melodies I loved since forever and Kate Bush is the author. It fits her quirky, outlandish persona but still feels so familiar and different. I'm so happy right now.

The only reason I would be happy to be 65 years old already today is that I could have attended a Kate concert in 1978 and seen "Wuthering Heights" performed in her inimitable way. Born 12 years too late!

Kate is there to say that hasn't been said yet? She's so unique, so far ahead of her time and to consider that she wrote these songs at a very young age.
I remember well watching this video for the first time and thought: "Wow!...Who is this?" and I was hooked on her music, her vocals and her dancing.
