I ran your version of Durst Manor twice (based on your other video), with minor changes to the story to adapt to how my players were reacting to the whole mystery and both parties loved it, to the point that it's still a highlight for many of them - they loved the "mystery solving" feel.

I seriously recommend this to anyone who is going to run CoS, Durst's Tiny Hut of Horrors makes for a very nice introduction to the horror and most of the time gruesome setting of the campaign and gives the players a taste of how TOUGH the encounters in the module can be, especially through the shadows and the "shambling mound" encounter at the end.

My players have just reach the 2nd floor upper hall (we play in play-by-post style btw), I think I still have a chance to convert the house to this instead. Although it's a shame that I missed most of the 1st floor alteration. Still, thanks!

Just to let you know here where I live if someone is killed in a house then it is being sold by law they must tell the buyer that someone died in it and there might be spirits there to.

Thanks so much for this version of the death house, I was the DM, and my two younger brothers (13 & 15) and one of my good friends were players, I wanted to run this as a one shot and maybe if it turned out good run curse of strahd campaign. I think it was my best session as a DM yet. My two younger brothers were scared out of their minds. Lets just say they slept in the parents room that night because I got them that scared. And I think my friend really enjoyed it. I really like these additions to the death house. I think it makes it more scary. I might have to find two more players though.
