Honda CBR250R - first impressions and commentary

2011 - 2013 CBR250R - Here is a video from the first day I picked the bike up. In the commentary are initial first impressions and other points. Brief discussion of ergonomics, solutions to avoid paint chipping from road debris provided by 3M and some commentary on wind as some express concern because of the bikes size how resilient it is in holding up under windy conditions.

There is a locking mechanism on the left side for the bike. you have to open the (seat) and place the helmet buckle on the latch and close the seat. That secures the helmet.

I couldn't agree with you more .. The custom work put the price of the bike at about the Repsol bike and i like this better.

I like the white rims and lower cowl, it's like the tri-color should have been shipped with this!

I believe it comes down to dollars and cents really. All of the bikes from 2011-2012 have silver wheels .. they put them all on one production line. To make a separate line for white wheels would have eat into their profits. I think 2012 was is the only year they painted the tank, front fender and skins different colors, then again they painted the wheels Orange for the Repsol so I don't understand why they didn't do the Tricolor in the proper way either.

Bloody awesome bike. I love what you did to the wheels man. I have the Repsol which wheels! Don't know why Honda didn't ship the tri-color with white wheels.

Was wondering if you still had the CBR 250 and if so, did you ever get the seat cowling done? I really like what you did with the wheels and chin spoiler. Did the paintwork hold up well? I really enjoy your channel, thanks again for all the vids.

lol I did not know that. I was thinking of getting a cable lock and putting my helmet over the ignition and just lock it down around the handle bar that way it'll be difficult for anyone to tamper with the ignition or steering lock.

How do you lock the helmet on the motorcycle, I've hear you can lock the helmet with one extension on the seat box....?

I almost always just take my helmet with me.
