In this video, my 1965 Mustang gets some significant modifications with the help of Holley, Centerforce, and Aldan American. We install a Lakewood Bell housing, a Centerforce dual friction clutch assembly, and a steel flywheel. Watch as we tackle every challenge head-on, with expert guidance from my friend and car guru, Gary Nelson, at Aldan American. I hope this "how-to" install was helpful! Huge shout out to everyone involved in the project. My Mustang is now safer and more capable than ever. Hit that like button, share the excitement, and subscribe for more Mustang madness!

Building relationships with other car enthusiasts is one of the best parts about this hobby. And on that plus side you were able to have a friend help with your new install. Very cool!!

Ben, Making Great Content Is Second Only To Beating On The Mustang! Have A Most Awesome Afternoon!

I have that exact clutch in my 68 with a 428 shoved in her. Alleviated all of the clutch linkage issues by going to a hydraulic clutch. Absolutely love it.

Great to see a spacer plate that covers the front of the bell housing. I rock or something flying up in there could definitely blow the clutch up. My 66 is missing the plate all together

Reminds me of my younger days. My first car was a '65 Mustang GT, I bought in 1973 for $500. I drove it through high school, starting going to a local community college where I rebuilt the motor in it and installed a Melling camshaft. The next year I was involved in a wreck with an 18 wheeler, and totalled the car. Bought a '67 Mustang with a 6 and a three speed, rounded up the parts I needed and swapped in the 289. Wish I still owned either of those cars today. But fast forward and when I retired, I bought a restored '73 Mach 1. So we go to cruise ins and car shows. Still have that Mustang fever!

Thank You Ben. Thank You Gary for your efforts. This vid was super fun. Thanks Dad for cleaning parts. I too don't care if no one really gonna see it, IT GETS CLEANED! Ben when it comes time, consider a Late Model Permanent Magnet Starter. I did this with my 351 Cleveland. Works good, it's smaller and saved some weight. Just did my homework and bought it from O' Reilly's.
