More stroke, ( bend away from body ) = more fuel, opposite for less stroke. Doesn't necessarily make it run richer unless you open the jet to allow more fuel to pass. It can starve for fuel if set to low on the stroke though.

I never thought to do that, have a gauge on the way but this may help with any carburetor, if there isn't a tool available like a tillotson or some other oddball one on older stuff.

This only shows to low level to READJUST to increase more inflow. Good for a start but could be too much...

Can this explain why my fuel leaks out through the carb? Would it be that lever or is there a spring thats worn out perhaps? Echo hedge clippers, HC150 leaks way too much and it's not the fuel lines.

This is rediculous... make sure the lifter is perfectly level with the throttle body, using a straight edge, period.
