Yeah, I have the model without the record feature (otherwise the same). Bought it used, so really good price.
Works great for my needs!
Impressed with the IR illumination.... I could easily see a completely darkened house 300+ feet away across a low-cut field.
The sharpness, though not high, is definitely good enough to clearly make out animals, people and objects no problem.
Yes, there is a faint reddish glow at the front from the IR, so keep that in mind if you need total stealth because it might give you away.
But i need to test at distance if I can see it enough to be an issue. Think I'll do that since the field is right here and easy to measure when it becomes super faint.
I also like that it's cheap enough (I bought mine used) that if I break it or lose it no big deal. I like the way it feels in my hand too.
Even at retail I'd say it's a great buy, and at a discount being used is a must-have.

Remember boys and What you view through your rifle scope is the most important! The monocular is just to scan so you don't run down the rifle scope batteries!

Great review! Drove me to get one but for some reason when I put the sd card in I cannot get any buttons to actually hit OK. We’re you able to get past this? It won’t let me record anything until it formats the card.

You can't expect much battery life when their powering both the monocular AND the IR Illuminator!

I didn't hear it mentioned, so I'm guessing it doesn't have an alternative power plug? Shame if it doesn't. I'm looking to buy a monocular NV. I have a couple of Wraith NV scopes that I can plug a battery bank into it with a cord. This gives me all the power I need to run them.

I subscribed a couple of days ago after looking up video's for the sawyer mini. Now youre coming across my you tube feed. I'm really interested in a night vision device so here i am. Another good video brother thank you. Not as bad a device as you might think for a buck twenty especially with as high as they can go. Still not gonna pull the trigger on this on. One question, can i expect my night vision to be destroyed by any night vision goggles? I mean is that just one of the evils of using one? Also, thats an awful lot of batteries.

Would it be worth it to use an additional IR light to extend the range of the monocular?
