I was wondering how you got the knob off. Mine is so tight I can't seem to get it off. I can't tell if the nut is a part of the knob or if its there as a stop. I want to replace it with anything else because its really small. But also don't want to break it in the process. Mine is super hard to get up in the lowest position.

I have a scissor lift similar to yours which is made from aluminium. Personally, I would be very concerned about its durability and reliability when under load or stress.

Do you have any recommendations for extending the handle / knob? Perhaps some kind of adapter + locktite and a block to support the extension?
