He is right. As humanity increasingly relies on AI to complete tasks, we lose our critical thinking and creativity, ultimately becoming no more capable than the robots we create, limiting our actual human potential.

I love Archbishop Williams. Let’s hope that the explosion of AI will bring about a rediscovery of what it really means to be human - a collective boost to our self-understanding and self-esteem. Of course, the opposite might happen as well, that once AI takes over most activities, we grow depressed as a society. God bless us.

Archbishop Rowan knows what it is to be truly human, but he needs to understand that AI really can and will replace many jobs because the work of most lawyers, project managers, etc is so rote that Claude can do it much better.😢
