I just got back from the most amazing trip to Peru with Air Transat and words can’t begin to describe how my time in Peru made me feel. Peru left a mark on my soul that I’ll cherish forever, and this quickly became one of my favourite trips ever. If Peru is not on your bucket list yet, I hope I’m able to inspire you to add it!

We did the Magical Peru Tour, which is a tour offered by Air Transat in collaboration with Jumbo Tours, and it was absolutely incredible. From the stunning Andes to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu, every moment took my breath away. We laughed, we connected with locals, we ate delicious food, and we played with all the alpacas and llamas. It filled my soul in ways I didn’t realize it needed filling, and left me feeling changed.

I loved Peru so much, and I can only hope I’ll have the chance to go back one day.

Here’s 7 reasons you need to add Peru to your bucket list:

1. Epic scenery - From majestic mountains to lush valleys, vast deserts and dramatic landscapes.. we could not stop saying WOW on this trip
2. So much history - The historic Incan sites in Peru are incredible and will take your breath away. You truly feel like you’re walking through history.
3. Machu Picchu - This World Wonder alone is worth a trip to Peru. The lost city of the Incas is even more incredible in person than you can imagine!
4. Peruvian food is delicious! - Don’t forget to try the ceviche, Lomo Saltado (Stir-fried Beef), churros in Lima and empanadas. Also the Peruvian Chinese in Cusco was incredible!
5. The animals in Peru - We could not get enough of the llamas and alpacas 🥹
6. Peru has the friendliest locals - The warmth and kindness of the Peruvian people is unmatched. We felt so welcomed throughout our travels.
7. You'll leave with a sense of wonder - This one is hard to explain, but Peru truly left us feeling like we’re a part of something bigger.
