I recently spoke at an inspire event(more on that below) at a multisite church in Chicago and during a Q&A moment I asked the question, "Why do churches struggle with leadership development?" I got an interesting response, "because of burnout".

This really hit me and had me unpacking some raw insights, also popped up what I see as a big red flag that as leaders we should be aware of. (warning: its convicting)

Not to sound like an ad for medication gone wrong but, 🚨if you are suffering from any of these leadership realties...🚨 i'm here to tell you it doesn't have to stay that way.

So if you see the same volunteers constantly picking up all of the serving roles and you have a few* doing the most* - we have create a resource to help get more people off the sideline and into the mission.

We call them volunteer training cards, and they are design to equip your team to onramp new volunteers so that you can create exceptional experiences through intentional volunteer training.

Currently experiencing this in the church I attend. Had to search YouTube to see if there were resources on this.

Thanks for this.

Relying too much on church staff to volunteer for everything going on in the church

No such thing in The New Testament as burnout. Utter nonsense is this burnout nonsense.
