When you compare Duolingo vs Busuu, I think Busuu is a better app that really helps you learn a new language. I used the Busuu app premium access for 30 days to see if it helped my language learning journey. I just started using busuu for Italian and when you feel comfortable enough you can also pay for 1 on 1 live lessons (8-10£) each, which saves looking for a tutor, and there are weekly goals like describing a picture, reading a passage and practicing your oral overall. Fab app.

I have used it for about 5 hours combined and can speak very basic Russian. It works very well.

Busuu is amazing. I've met many friends on there and I've learned a lot. I'm even able to communicate with them because, as I said, I was able to learn.

Love Busuu! I did Italian on there too but I did it from German. I hope they add more languages. The premium version is definitely worth it.

However, this month I have stopped studying for the last week or so and finding it hard to get back into it. Maybe I just need something different. I am going to give Busuu a try!
