I loved how they lighted the Enterprise D for this film. It was always amazing but this film just made it spectacular. This is also Dennis Mccarthy's best musical work in the franchise, outside of All Good Things and Way of the Warrior.

THE quintessential jump to warp. Movie quality effects yet retains the feel and ideas of TNG era Trek. Nacelles flash as the warp field is established, ship stretches to imply the stretching of space around it, and the flash as it breaks the light speed barrier. Simple, effective, and timeless. Everything since has been overdone for the sake of being "cool".
