Thanks for the video. Couple things:

1. I have been using 7zip for many many years and I just downloaded the latest version. I have never seen those two password fields when encrypting my folders, just one. The confirmation password field I have never seen it. I use Windows 8.1

Edit: Figured it out. When you have the "Show Password" box checked, it won't show the password confirmation field.

2. I just noticed that when you uncompress a folder, which has many other folders in it, 7zip starts displaying folders before it actually ask you for the password to uncompress the main folder. I see that the contents of the folders are not shown, but the titles of the folders are clearly visible. In my case those folders show confidential information. What's up with that?

You have not password protected THAT exact folder. You have made a copy of that folder which is password protected: not the same thing :-)

I tested this on a folder with 1 item in it and it let me open and browse the folder normally. I assume its because the folder is on a usb drive but should that matter?

What I did wrong? When I try to open pw protected 7zip file with 7zip fm, it asks the pw as expected. But when I open the 7zip file with Windows Explorer, it bypasses the pw.
