That Xiaomi cinematic mode looks MUCH better than the iPhone version. Shame the front camera doesn't have it and it's limited to 24 frames.

Love the idea of a phone lens having a real adjustable aperture, but I wonder if that range of stops would make much of a difference given the lenses true focal length. Sadly the Movie Mode is a hot mess compared to Cinematic mode - right now but I’m grateful that Xiaomi is pushing the smartphone camera game forward. That makes users the real winners here. 👏🏻

in last scene xi beats an iPhone in lowlight. what iPhone needs is 1 inch sensor and bigger aperture lenses . 1 inch must become an industry standard for pro phones

That's some interesting news to me you can shoot 10bit log on all rear cameras, and it can also shoot raw/ultraraw on all rear cameras. But can you shoot full 50mpix raw files on the rear cameras or is it limited to 12mpix binned raw files?

I thought the screen on the Xiaomi would have been brighter. Software is a little buggy at the moment too. I also wish the speakers could be slightly louder. My 3 gripes. 👍

Hey Simon, Please try Motioncam Pro on this beast cause it can do 14 bit log even in Direct LOG video. If you do 8K binned, you will get the most detailed 4K video ever.
Also motioncam can record video with lut baked in 14bit and on also log video on front camera.

I like the look of the 14 ultra very nice and the night video was good but I think the iPhone has it to my eyes it just has a better quality but marginally, Xiaomi are really catching up! great video Simon TFS Phil 👍

I think you can only shoot 10-bit log video with the main sensor on Xiaomi 14 ultra and not with all 4 lenses!
