His ear training course really does work. Scored 100% first try at 1.25 speed. I used the soviet national anthem to get the 4ths the twinkle twinkle little star song to get the 5ths and over the rainbow to get the 8ths. I skip like 50-60% of the videos cause he's really slow but his course is insanely good.

20/20. I have some background in voice, but never learned much theory, or had the ear training to sight sing…but you’re helping me change that. Tysm!

Back-to-back days of 15/20. Like everything else, won't even consider moving on until I can hit 20/20 4 times in a row :) Today (really only my 3rd day on this) I played Auld Lang Syne & Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for the "play what you hear". Wish I would have seen the "map" for the beginner section as I did all 9 chapters of it, but didn't do the ear training & 1st 2 sections of theory. Working on all of that now, which is really fun. Here I was thinking I would be done with the beginner section & off to the Intermediate section this week. No rush, now it's about having more fun than the first few weeks of finger pain & super inconsistent strumming. Grabbed my lifetime theory access yesterday or the day before, so I am crazy pumped now! Thanks a ton Justin!

First two wrong then all correct from there on out, picking up steam.
Wouldn’t of been able to do this without you Justin, keep up the good work, you’re keeping mine up too!

Struggled a couple of times getting the 4th, but scored a 90% overall. Better than I expected!

Woohoo! Aced it!

A pleasant surprise since I didn't feel all that confident going in.

19! I am having real trouble with the 6th one. It sounds just like the 'star wars' theme to me (P5), cannot relate ''somewhere over the rainbow' to it.

Been struggling with this one for a while, keep getting 11/20
I find the 5th and Octave, just have too similar of a tonality, in that they're both a very clean and smooth
and 4th and 5th are too easy to mix up as they're the reverse of each other

I really feel there are some much easier intervals to tell apart which would have been a better start for beginners, major and minor 3rds come to mind immediately, because they create a completely different tonal quality to each other

Hey Justin, the ear training course is great... I'm waiting for the rest. Is it still on the way?

Hi Justin, Can you post a lesson on "better Man" by Robbie Williams.

80% here . The fifth and the octave are tricky .

Managed to get them all correct mainly with Stars Wars theme as the perfect 5th reference, then checking if the other intervals played where smaller or bigger :p. I don't think this way of handling it will hold up if more intervals are added, but oh well... So far so good :)

i scored 16 on my first try! wondering if i should move on or practice more.
I'll probably wait and practice for a few more days to be safe.

Well i don't get it coz when i listen to piano i get 18/20 and when i listen to justin's guitar i get 11/20 . Maybe it's coz this guitar sound's so different from mine, but then again piano is totally different instrument, so idk

Could you do a little piece on the Ear Training Exercises? I see they use different instruments, but how can I use them to supplement what we do here? (20/20 !), Thanks, you rock!!!

Thanks Justin, great lessons.
I managed to score 100% with Starwars for 5th, the wedding song for 4th and Over the Rainbow for octave. I hope I can still remember these reference songs when you add more intervals :)

Hey Justin,
Is it possible to provide also notes on the website? Like Question 1: 4th D -> G or just upload the video so that we can see?!
Great course so far. Never did ear training because I tought I really suck at it. But I tried it and got 15 examples right.
So I guess that was a decent start.
Thanks for beeing a great teacher!
Cheers ✌🏼
