Did you just make the Bishop have arrow moving like a knight?

What a clever zugzwang! Never seen something like this in my 6 yrs of chess. But doesn't Bxg8, also work? Its not that elegant as Rh1 but it seems to lead to mate on the next move in four different ways. Do reply.

it funny that so many people thought of d5 which is incorrect due to g8 bishop.rh1 is the only move for mate in 2.mate in 3 can be done in several ways

i thought it was taking the light bishop then checkmate with knight

I just wasted about 10 minutes trying to find a way for Black to checkmate White in 2 moves. That's what I thought I was being asked to do.

there's a mate in 4 with a pawn an rook sac. pawn e3, only move rook takes, then rook to h4, only move bishop takes and then bishop h2. Only move is to block by bishop and then take it with the bishop, check mate

after looking for 10 minute i finally find rook h1.if black any bishop move it will block he rook which will lead to checkmate and bishop g5 lead to queen h2.Very tricky puzzle but sometime we need to look quiet move than aggressive move

Thought you had to sack the light square bishop for mate with the knight

Found it.
I understand why you said why you believed it was unfoundable, but I saw a similar problem in the past, where we had several mate threats, but all covered by some piece. The trick was to put the opponent into zugzwang, which is very unintuitive as it wouldn't happen in a real game with that many pieces left.
So, I saw it was similar in this puzzle. I looked for moves that black could play if it was their turn, moves that don't allow white to checkmate immediately after. There are actually 2 moves, Bg5 and Rd3. I tried to think how I could checkmate after Bg5, and there weren't many possibilities. I needed to play Qg3 or Qh2. Qg3 is complicated, as it would require me to move my queen on first move, but she is controlling some important squares. Qh2 is easier, I could play it if my rook wasn't there. From that point, Rh1 is natural. And we can notice it also frees the square for the bishop if black plays Rd3.

I found another way
What if you just play bishop takes bishop on g8
Then whatever black does it’s checkmate
If black takes back with the rook than it’s checkmate after knight d5
If he does anything else then it’s checkmate but if he takes the knight with the dark square bishop you checkmate him with the rook
