Are you sure that's a 2013 model? I'm pretty sure the 2GB 750m was introduced in the mid-2014 refresh (it's the model I have, although mine is the 2.5ghz 4870HQ i7). Regardless, the 2014 model I have is still insanely fast. Only the GPU lets it down a little these days, but the CPU gets better scores than the 2017 Surface Book 15". One other thing, you compared a 4-core 15" MacBook to the 2-core 13" model from 2017, which is a bit unfair.

I have a 2013 Retina Macbook Pro 13" and love it. Only now looking to upgrade cause I need dedicated graphics. My baby will be on ebay pretty soon.

since its a 2013 Mac, you can get a 2015 retina ssd and it will work fin as the pie drive never changed after the 2013 model

I have a 2016 13’ with touch bar but the performance is terrible compared to these older 15 inch ones. In fact I came from a 2011 13 inch and the 15 inch from that era also outperform my current one. However I just think thunderbolt 3 will start to make a difference few years later.

I just got a 13' MacBook Pro from my local electronic recycling 😂 it had someone else's stuff on it with a password I figured out how to wipe the drive and keep it myself. I have no idea why the person got rid of it
