I have my system postfix up and functioning (I can send emails from my cli), even thoug CheckMK does not send any notification via email. It does not even try it since when I check the mail log there is NOTHING in there :(. Why is difficult to set some csetup for smtp emails. I would say that is BASIC stuff. In the software you offer WAY more complex feature. Yet potential clients from big companies like me get frustrated with simply trying to send an email notification :(.
