What I wish the companies realise is that a well rested employee working 7 hours can do far more than an exhausted worker working a 10 hour shift

The industrial revolution and its consequences... has turned me into a sleepy little guy.

“I've got a bad case of the 3:00 am guilts - you know, when you lie in bed awake and replay all those things you didn't do right? Because, as we all know, nothing solves insomnia like a nice warm glass of regret, depression and self-loathing.”

As someone who has had insomnia for most of my life and it’s hell. Some nights seemingly randomly and usually at least once a month I just can’t sleep and stay up all night resulting in a hellish day afterwards. On a more positive note though, it used to be a lot worse when I was younger happening almost every night at one particularly hellish point but it’s gotten a lot better over time

Nice, I did a piece on that, but in French ;)

This is so based. This reminds me a lot of Mark Fisher's book, where he talks about the huge, historic spike in depression, anxiety, and ADHD in recent decades (and not just because of better reporting). This way of life just isn't healthy.

this video comes on the fifth day where I managed to sleep between 1 to 7 am ! I literally can't remember the last time I managed to do that but I've got my fingers crossed it continues and I hope one day I'll be able to do these 11pm-7am kind of nights everyone else seems to have, anyway, great video mate, I'm glad you're back seriously and take care of yourself too bro

And now people who are in this rut are being told by influences that they are having too much sleep and to become happy and wealthy you need to sleep 3 hours a night and have a horrible life or your not working hard enough.

Man you’re not alone. I have not had “good sleep hygiene” primary school. But I am in love with history, geography, economics and political science, along with business. Keep your head up.

Mate you can always rely on the fact that quantity never overcomes quality. Take your time and take things as easy as possible, we'll love your videos no less

I still remember in high school and college people would subtly brag by lamenting how little sleep they got, and all nighters were already normalized at the high school level. Absolutely insane, but such were the costs people were willing to pay to keep up with their peers.
