Renault Lodgy scores a disappointing zero stars

The latest #SaferCarsForIndia crash test results were released today (September 27) to coincide with the inaugural Global NCAP World Congress held in Delhi. Maruti Suzuki achieved an encouraging four star result with the Vitara Brezza while Renault failed to impress with the zero star Lodgy.

The Renault Lodgy without airbags in its standard version achieved zero stars for Adult Occupant Protection and two stars for Child Occupant Protection. The zero star result was partly due to the lack of airbags which caused the head and chest to impact the steering wheel. The car also showed an unstable structure during the crash with deformations even in the rear door and a rupture in the footwell area during the crash. The lack of ISOFIX anchorages meant that the child seats needed to be installed with adult seatbelts, causing an excessive forward excursion of the 3 year old dummy which impacted its head on the driver seat backrest.

idiotic way of doing this. This car comes with 2 airbags!! Shameful to pick a vehicle that does not have airbags and perform a crash test!. So you much give Gloobal NCAP zero stars for this biassed review!

Renault is a shame company look at their cars! They are horrible at safety, futuristic and none of the cars have better mileage!
This shameless company should be banned from India too who saw my comment (Don’t buy Renault cars)
