The answer to why niko die
Is because the train has different separate physics so when he falls to the gap between the two trains it counts as another train if there wasnt that gap he would just fall

gta4 physics engine is better than gta5, but in gta5 we can stand and move on some vehicle roofs. (Truck, bus, train, etc.) The roof of the subway in gta4 looks like it has been oiled.
Nonetheless, I still love gta4. The soviet ost makes my heart pound every time I listen to it.
