in GTA San Andreas theres a freight train called... well... "Freight" and theres a bunch wagons that are so low, that you can actually stay on them without being pushed off by obstacles on the way (for instance: bridges), thus you can travel all 3 Islands on a train, and if you prefer to ride in a passenger wagon, you can do that too :D
