Great music my man. An awesome soundtrack that really echoes the might and sagacity of the Praetorians, going from the guardians of the emperor to the true power behind the throne, a very Machiavellian tale if there ever was one. It was their resolute will that kept the emperors safe, and it is by that will is the imperium held hostage. Great song. Keep it up man.

Ah praetorians, the elite of the elite, the imperial guard of roman emperors from Augustus to Constantine. No one imagined what they would become. Romans in fact, bearing arms in the eternal city, in the province where supposedly no Roman army or force could enter armed, protecting the back of their master or rather… becoming masters in fact. the presence of armed Romans in the capital created a new force of power that easily defeated the senate and especially the emperors, after all, power emanates from the one with the weapons to project his authority.

It was only for the guard to realize that the disgrace was done, their masters were murdered by them even when their salary was triple what the last one gave, they even went so far as to auction off the throne of the ruler of the entire empire and murder the buyer. In those dark times, power did not emanate from the people, nor from the senate, much less from the emperors, he was in the hands of that ungrateful, avaricious, malicious little military force.

Honestly, this song shows precisely the essence of praetorians, loyal men... *to their own personal interests.* From 2:27 onwards the music seems to show us briefly the sense of duty the guard should exercise, only to once again see what it has become.
