I like that the women are strong, although not Lou's self-centeredness through most of the seasons. Also, that strength and independence Amy has as a single mom is exactly why I wish they would not pair Amy with a guy. Let the show have this strong, single mother. It's time to quit putting forth the notion that a woman HzaS to have a man.

I started watching the reruns when I retired. I watched for awhile then found it boring. I am from the US I don't think to many Americans watch it it because I ask my friends and they never heard of it. My fiends are not that old. The episodes showed to many problems and not to many characters ever smiled or looked happy. It seems like Amy and Lous character wanted their own way all the time the way they made their character. Anyway I found it Orin after watching a couple of months. I stopped watching it and had my coffee watching something else that made me smile more.
