Older gent here, hello guys. I didn’t even realize they still make Cool Water. It always got a positive response for me. Another one I like is Paco Rabanne Invictus. But cologne doesn’t smell the same on every guy. And don’t overdo it. Four squirts of Drakkar is too much! Cheers!

I am 75 years old and very set in my choice of after shave. My personal favorite is Mennen Skin Bracer. It was brought out during the great depression. Industry leaders at the time ridiculed it saying that it was shear folly to bring out a new product during such trying times. As it happened, it's still around decades later. I love the scent of it and don't know what gives it its unique qualities. It's still a favorite of mine and has been since my days at university in the 1960's.

Aramis is the GOAT, my Dad wore it and I adopted it as my own. I wear it whenever (most days) I want to channel his spirit, big meeting Aramis, job interview Aramis. It's very reasonable and a real Boss scent.

Aramis was actually my first fragrance as a young man and the one I wore when I met my wife 🥰- so I still buy it sometimes for nostalgic reasons. Giving us both pleasant memories 😉

Old Spice was in every man’s bathroom cabinet who was born between 1920 and 1970. As you say, it is a nice fragrance. If you wear it today, in a world of expensive scents, it gets compliments and questions, which is funny. Brut is another scent that fits this mold as well.

This was an informative post, thanks. I apply cologne by putting one arm, wrist up, to my chest and spraying, then the other arm. This gets fragrance in four. places without any being lost in the air. It also allows you to smell the fragrance by bringing your wrist to your nose. Also, samples can provide you with niche fragrances for special occasions while staying on budget.

For summer, Royal Lime is nice and light, good for all day. Tabac is great for all year. Drakkar works well during the cooler months.

Aramis is king. The original formulation is just beautiful. It is carried by a leather note much better than the current formulation. It’s my daily scent. I love it so much, I have back up of back up of back up bottles of the vintage formulation.

Other ones are English leather and Tabac Original. Solid performance for good prices. Gives that old but tested scent like the old spice
