Unboxed a new manual coffee grinder (Timemore Chestnut C3 ESP PRO) and try to find the perfect grind size for a bottomless portafilter on DeLonghi Dedica Arte EC885. I included the failed tries in the video hoping they might be helpful for others.

00:00 Unboxing Timemore C3 ESP PRO
01:16 First Espresso shot try (very fine)
02:45 Second try
03:41 Third try
04:28 Fourth try

It is the first time I'm grinding the coffee beans myself after all the tipps from the comments on my previous videos 🫶☕. Also the beans I used are Brazilian freshly roasted about 8 days ago.

Well done, it is helpful to show the different trials in finding the perfect grind. Interested to know if the coffee beans used are dark or medium roast

I bought exactly the same setup. The hand grinder should arrive next week. I'll order the bottomless sieve today. I'm excited to see what my results will be. I'm just skeptical about whether I shouldn't have paid a higher price for the hand grinder. As soon as I have everything I'll share my experiences here in the comments. Good luck and it would be cool if you could continue to share your experiences.

Are you satisfied your that grinder so far?
I got the same exact setup and think of buying the same grinder.
You do 16 grams of coffee at the 9.33 setting?

Hi coffee experts, is it possible to achieve such nice looking crema from any coffee beans I can grab at supermarket - even the arabica and robusta mix of beans, or would I have to use only some special type? Is the perfect crema a result of correct preparation or actually the beans play huge role in here, therefore having the very same equipment as on the video I still couldn't use any coffee found that the shop (ex. some Costa, Starbacks whole bean coffee)?
BTW. great video - I was almost watching it with fingers crossed for your last attempt to see you finally made it :)
