Sony, just because you brought some small company, doesn't mean it's not going to stop us from pirating stuff

Crunchy roll: *over works and under pays there employees, changes what characters say to fit their agenda, takes money they promised to give to the original artists but instead uses for their own project, needlessly censors stuff, and is forming a monopoly* "Piracy is EVIL!"
Me: "You have your capitalist sins, I have mine."

The more CrunchyRoll centralizes, the more people will look into sailing the seven seas. I for one am anticipating that at some point CrunchyRoll will get more scummy when they start announcing they’ll be tackling on handling pirating. That is when they get nervous they are losing customers.
Edit: The wind is massive, yet I see so many sails raised from likes and comments. I am proud of you all, you scallyweebs.

The manga collecting community is freaking the heck out. Since for US collectors/buyers, Rightstuf was a big place to buy from due to really good deals and the best shipping quality. I've not been a crunchyroll hater or shill, but I'm not happy about this. they really are building a virtual monopoly.

So basically its not just digital things like anime, manga and games that are getting censored but even physical products now, its an absolutely ridiculous thing to think about. My thoughts on Right Stuf will depend slightly on just how much money Sony threw at them but I still think its rather stupid and kinda disrespectful to their old customers overall.

Love how they said all their 18+ titles moved to a different site but when trying to find it, it does not exist. So it basically means that they are going to faze out 18+ titles because “feelings” which is going to go ‘so well’ for them.

Now sing it with me folks "Yo ho, all hands hoist the color's high, heave ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die" 🏴‍☠️ bring me that horizon boys, and they shall see no red cent.

More of what we want? Proper localization and less MUH FEE FEEs California standard censorship?
Would be into that.
Our money still wouldn't go toward creators.

I hear Japan is getting a bit irritated with how bad American anime services are. If it continues to get worse at this rate, Japan will probably be making its own global anime services within the year in order to prevent American Piracy

I'm saying American because most of the problems are coming from the US having sub-optimal localization

Just when I thought Sony couldn't be any more irredeemable, we have this. Right Stuf was my go-to when I first started making physical anime and manga purchases. It's truly impossible to have nice things anymore.

As somebody that works for one of these companies, I had no idea this was gonna happen until last minute. I literally found out 10 minutes before it was announced on social media. Already knew it was gonna be a storm xD

I was used to Right Stuf selling out of their items, but I wasn’t expecting them to sell out themselves.

Crunchyroll really took Vergil's "I need more power" statement to truthfully

Well there goes my manga collecting. Was nice while it lasted. I've also been looking at the coments and I gotta say I love the mindset. Seriously as fans we have power, not much but we have some. Pirate, Steal, Do not support! Show them that what they are doing is not right. Send them messages on twitter, yell at them on Emails, Clog their company inboxes. Do not give them a moment to breath. Let them know that we fans, on a wide enough scale, can and will not stand for this. They want money, do it right...

We need to get serious. You all see what is happening to the Comic book Industry. If these people are aloud to do as they like this could be the beginning of the end for Anime and Manga. Fight back, do not let that happen!

Great, you know the term “erotica” means anything that has fanservice: Fire Force, Seven Deadly Sins, One Piece, Fairy Tail, etc… will either be censored to kingdom come or not be sold…

Saw this earlier. Right stuff is effectively dead to me now. If I can't find anywhere else, then I'm going to prep up my best Jack Sparrow impersonation ever.

They've already purged what they (currently) consider "erotica" from the store, and I'm already noticing some inconsistency in how much fanservice exists in things still listed and conspicuously missing.

There’s always third party companies. I literally just searched it online and found some that actually work.

anime and manga fandom outside of Japan was born of an outlaw nature. us oldtaku are like the hero in the western that put away their six guns and took up farming. well it looks like the cattle baron has come to town and it's back to those outlaw roots.

I was done when they acquired Anime Lab and then merged Funimation.

The High Seas are fun in these times.
