How to turn right from Stonesby Avenue towards the City Centre. Notice how I slow down early to allow the traffic ahead to move off as I'm approaching. This then gives me a clear run at joining the roundabout.

If you don't peel out at the spiral marking like I did then you will be in the lane that the red car was in at the exit and will need to merge back to the left lane when it's safe. You'll notice the lane isn't very long after the exit to get back across which is why it's easier to do it the way I've done it here.

If, however, the lights are on red at the spiral point and the left lane on approach has 2 or 3 cars in waiting then it will probably be better to use the right lane and then merge back to the left at the exit to help the flow of traffic.
