I’d love to see SSL make a high end rackmount audio interface. These small interfaces are nice though. But I’d love to see SSL go all out and make a rackmount interface that competes in that 2000-3000 dollar price range.

Got the SSL 2 MKII for Christmas. Can't explain how happy I am. I had an Mackie Onyx Producer for years and the only bad thing I will say, after about a year the gain & headphone knob (pots) became full of static. Haven't recorded with the SSL 2 yet but I tested it with Mic and guitar and I can't wait to starting recording with it in Logic Pro. Besides it being beautifully and thoughtfully laid out aesthetic wise with all inputs and controls feeling perfect, the sound quality is superb. It's a noticeable difference from my Onyx Producer. I'm gonna' use the 4K switch on my vocal for me first project. because I love how it enhances the sound. As a vocalist, I am always concerned about my vocal sound. This was the best $229. I ever spent. Did I say it comes with Vocalstrip 2 and Drumstrip 2? It does and that's just the icing on the cake.

I just got mine (2+ MKII) yesterday. Right off the top I had to laugh at the 11 on the main dial. I'm old enough to get that joke. It's going to take me putting it through some paces and see how it does. But once I do, I'll come back for a proper comment.

Does it have seperate "Devices" in Windows Recording Devices (Not inside DAW, i know it will work there) for Input 1 and Input 2 to select or only one Combined Mic?

Are the line inputs +4dB balanced and do they connect to the back panel with Canon or Jack connectors (or maybe both)?

I think if this interface was made in the design of the uf8 or uf1 many people would buy it for integration purposes, i dont know why ssl has not worked on that already.
