Samsung Admits to Massive Failure: 'It was embarrassing'

In recent statement to the press, Samsung CEO DJ Koh admitted that Samsung failed due to impatience in trying to release products before they were ready (hint: samsung galaxy fold)

Samsung is slated to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 very soon, most likely in August. At least that's the release date we have for the Galaxy Note 10 so far (probably 90% accurate).

Hopefully the Note 10 will wipe away their past failures so the company can move forward even stronger.

When I read the title I thought they were going to admit removing the 3.5mm jack from the note 10 was a mistake.

Samsung deserves my respect. Yes, it was a failed project and dumped our expectations, but at least they can publicly admit that they were wrong. If it was Apple, they would probably charge you saying it was not their fault.

Like he said not ready yet very good, but the fold is still an impressive Samsung device, unlike apple keyboard issues, and macbook battery issues, best not offer a repair program like apple not good for business.

I can appreciate DJ Kol and his honesty. I am glad he released the information. I'm confident this is just a stepping stone to improvements and I have faith that they will make a great product when the time is right.

Think about it though: Huawei was about to make the same blunder, until they realized the Mate X hadn't been tested properly either.
Samsung at least had the courage and confidence to get the Fold out there.

That's what I like about Samsung, they are humble and honest compared to Apple who can't even make a wireless charging pad, gives their users a half baked "quickcharge" function and makes their users pay for the cords/chargers necessary to use that capability.

Important is just admitting and learning of them.
I know for 100% that Samsung will find a better way to finish their unfinished job.

This is how professionals like Samsung make mistakes, but good on them for not cancelling on the Fold project. It's still a futuristic device to have for the 2020 decade. 💯% respect.

If it happens to be released by next year, I will I understand and Also, It's better to be safe than sorry again. I still love the Fold concept I'll keep my hype for another 3 years to come.

I don't think I would by the fold, especially at $ 2000 us. But, I do think the technology will make other innovations possible.
