I like to talk about what I call "Continuous motion in the stroke." You're not sitting still thinking about things for too long or at any point in your time.

I like the idea of a forward press, watch this video to learn more!

Excellent!!! Thank you Brad. One of my favorite golfers at our club raved about your putting lessons, so I watched 6 of your videos today. I want to putt better and will use what I learned from you. Grateful!!

Thank you Brad! I had some guys try to tell me to not let my son forward press anymore so I looked at your videos and it helped me make my decision I'm all about old school golfers. He just shot 62 in LvNv City Am. Thanks Coach Williams.

Used to do the forward press when I played in High School and College, pick it up from watching Jack N in the 70’s. Been out of golf for a while. Thanks for the lesson and reminder. 👍

Never thought about it like that before, but oddly enough that’s pretty much exactly what I do. The little forward press is what starts my stroke

I like the forward press to get the stroke moving and for timing purposes. If I'm using a metrodome timing method, the forward press is on count 1, the backswing is 2 and contact is 3.

Hey Brad love the videos!
I've been working at your old country club in Barrington, RI and started a Youtube in hopes of making the tour one day.
Thanks for all the great tips!

Is forward press recommended for all putter neck configurations, or just plumbers neck?

Forward press closes the club face, for sure, but what If you set UP with the face sligtlhy open, than the forward press squares It, would It be wrong?

I just got fitted for a new putter. When the fitter evaluated my setup and stroke with my current gamer, I had about 1* of forward press and didn't even realize it. The fitter evidently was not a proponent of any forward press and kept guiding me towards the SeeMore putter where you cover up the red dot with the shaft to start your sequence with zero shaft press. I went against his recommendation and asked if the "one" I had my eye on would work. He replied that he "could" make it work for me. I should have been more aware of what was happening. I feel he probably had a financial incentive to sell the SeeMore brand over what was my first choice. In the end, I ordered the putter I WANTED with the specs we discovered during the fitting. I'm putting marvelously and I bet ya dollars to donuts that I still have that 1* shaft press. Before I left, he took a look though my bag and without even seeing me hitting one of my irons told me I need to change the shafts on all my irons. Totally lost faith in the commercial fitting companies.

What the specs of your putter? Do add loft to account for the forward press?

I like the continuous motion, but I worry, sometimes that my forward press might slightly leave the face open and create some push putts, comments?
