How to fix USB-C display on Samsung Smart Monitor

If you find that for whatever reason your Samsung Smart Monitor is no longer providing video when you connect using USB-C cable, the simple solution I found from someone on Reddit.

I hope they release a update for this but it will fix your monitor issue with your video.

I watched this 6 months ago and it fixed my monitor. Then today had the same problem, came back here (in a similar panic) and got my monitor fixed.

I had to not only power cycle the monitor twice by unplugging it and leaving it off for a while, but I also had to power cycle my computer. I have a Dell Latitude laptop and I had to shut it completely down. It finally started driving the montor again via USB C. Thanks for this video. It helped me tremendously.

Dude. I was frustrated asf and this fixed it. I highly recommend to others (safety reasons) to first try turning off and unplugging the monitor for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. I do not recommend pulling out the power while on as you could get shocked.

Holy moly, was about to chuck this dumb monitor out the window after power cycling everything a million times... tried unplugging the USB-C, but did not think to try the power cable... This worked for my M70B, THANK YOU soooo much!!!

Today I had this problem with the monitor. Due to a power outage the computer lost power. When I started it I couldn't see anything. I restored the monitor to factory settings and still couldn't see anything. Instead I did what this video suggests: unplugged the monitor for a couple of minutes and then reconnected it and it worked. Thank you very much for the video. It seems absurd but it worked.

Omg this worked for my Samsung m8 monitor! Literally been installing and power cycling both the monitor and laptop. I didn't know unplugging it would do the trick. Such a lifesaver!
