I love hearing drum isolation tracks and live drum cams like this. It's especially fun comparing Nick, Gar and Dirk.

Gar was all ghost notes, dynamic variations and jazz-tastefulness with an angry edge.

Nick just had this furious, mechanical aggression.

And Dirk is loose, relaxed and has this tendency to add just one more note where you wouldn't think one could fit.

Thank god some of you top drummers are starting to use drum cams!!! If I would have been offered the option at any show to be front row or stand behind the drummer I would pick the drummer everytime! That's something I've always wanted because for me that's were the whole show is. My wish is finally becoming a reality with some bands. Thank you so much!

You're the man Dirk. Your faithful renditions of Nick and Gar's parts always bring a smile to the face. I was also most impressed with your interpretations of Reinert, Hoglan, and Christy's drum parts at the Chuck Schuldiner tribute show. You were especially accurate on the _Human_ songs which was awesome as Reinert improvised a great amount of that. Keep up the amazing work sir, and never stop smiling that Dirk Smile while blasting the Dirk Blast. 🥁
