You hit the nail right on the head here, so many good points, and i REALLY hope they are gonna move towoards what you said in the video.
To limit single seater is just stupid, and making torps more stealthy is the way to go.

Great video. Missile operator shouldn’t be just off load task from pilot but making missile more effective. This add another type of skill set making multi crew even more fun.

I think your comment "the idea is solid, the execution...not so much" This hits it home for me in a lot of ways. CIG have a ton of awesome ideas but it feels like every iteration of every system is placeholder and not feature full. Lesigh. Lol Thanks!

Having an operator mode that takes some skill to use for max efficiency, could be the a great first step towards making co-pilots actually useful.

I was suprised to see a clip from squad, and I hope they add a similar mechanic to a tow missile rather than necessarily controlling the missile directly. it seems way more effective to be able to acquire and hit a target from a 3rd person view.

Some pretty valid points made, I do hope they don't overbalance missile operator mode too because it seems not needed. Interested to see if this along with the flight model rework is gonna shake up the meta again. Keep up the work with these vids man, that Perseus video was gold!

These are some of the best suggestions I've heard yet for the missile operator mode. Hopefully someone from CIG gets to see this or anything else you may have done pitching these ideas. If nothing else, they should be able to add these things in slowly in ver 2, 3 ect.

Man. I have not heard anyone critique and provide better feedback for the missile operator mode. You are completely right, there is absolutely no need to artificially limit the pilot from firing weapons and missiles at the same time. Instead, giving us more options to play with would really make this game stand apart from other arcade style space games. Wish CIG would watch this video, man!
