Hi, please can you show us how to do 2 steps. I need to add 2 x steps up to a kitchen and not sure if I need to just make it a thick wall elevation, or do I need to make each step a room at different levels? Hopefully there is an easier way to do it...

I tried double-clicking inside the box after I made the walls. Will the same thing work?

Hello I cannot understand the difference between elevation and height, I mean, when I play with elevation and I can see a difference, but when I modify the height I cannot see any difference!

I have already created a floor which is the first floor flat, I now need to create the entrance, corridor and stairs on the ground floor leading to upstairs the first floor flat. Would the ground floor level be marked as zero then?

If you had your main floor ( level 1) at elevation 0 modeling your real home but in fact in reality it’s several feet above outside ground level, how do you change that so the basement (level 0) is partially above ground level? I’ve already created my entire first floor with furnishings and everything, being new to SH3D. Can I reset the first floor elevation without screwing the vertical location of every object? Actually I’d like to create the exterior too and my front and backyards which slope away from my house. I didn’t realize a basement would carve a hole in the ground. I wish the house was floating in virtual space and then I could create the landscape without a false ground effect, I.e., basement level hole.

Your videos helped a lot. I was wondering how do we make sunken area, which is visible from the same (ground) floor.

As I’m watching this just realized my current level 0 main middle floor of my house is elevation 0. In reality it’s several feet above the actual ground outside. If I added a basement and give it a negative elevation it’s completely underground. Is it possible to reset my main floor elevation including all the rooms and elements within it? Also the terrain my home is on slopes downward all around. I kind of wanted to model my front and back yard to my property lines. Guess I’ll need to figure out my true elevation above sea level LOL. [Edit: So you just change the “level” properties elevation and the rest will take care of itself. Should have watched the whole video before commenting.]

Hi. I am listening to you and working on transferring my house plan into my Sweet Home 3D; however when I want to 'add, or really subtract' to get my basement; when I double click on Level 0, I do not get the same box that you get. I do NOT have the option of elevation and then putting in a negative number. Even if you open it through the tab and not with a double click, same box (much more elaborate than yours, but not ELEVATION option! Now what?) There must be another way to make something under ground...right? Thank you, Linda

Once the model is made, can it be exported to a render engine such as Unreal or Unity ?
