Every Night (Paul McCartney Cover)

I moved just a few blocks away, and I have my own dedicated studio room now!! Woo! I've always wanted to cover this with Josh, so it felt like a good inaugural recording for the space.

When Paul's first solo album, McCartney, came out, it was met with some critical confusion and ridicule. Why did it sound so casual and raw? Did it contribute to the breakup of The Beatles? But contemporary opinions have come around, and I've always found something beautiful and striking in "McCartney": it captures a lonely, lost, and incredibly gifted musician exploring his grief and trying not to take everything so seriously all at the same time. Not only that, it's insane that ANYONE was able to record themselves "at home" in such incredible quality in the late-60s. Paul just casually trail-blazing, you know, as he does.

Such an inspiration for me, and a highly recommended listen.

Damn, that was as good as Paul ever did it!! I mean just fantastic. When McCartney came out and wasn't well received, I couldn't understand it. It was sooo good and raw. Then again, Paul was my favorite Beatle so I guess that's why. You guys are my favorites now and I love it when you do the oldies for us oldies! Keep it up! So good.
