Probably the most well built flip phone in 2024, and the software is definitely top notch. However I feel that the minor improvements over the predecessor doesn't make up to its price bump, sadly.

I traded the Z flip 5 in for an s24 plus and it only cost me $100. If I were to trade in my s24 Plus for a Z flip 6 I would still have to pay over $400

I bought the silver one yesterday. After dialing everything in after 24 hours i can honestly say i love this phone. I was born very early 80's and fell in love when flip phones was introduced and i've had a facination for them ever since. I agree with the A.I stuff being half baked but hey it's still early stages so i might use it more in the future. I used to have flip 3 and flip 4 in the passed but sold em because the crease got on my nerves lol. I'm genuienly impressed how much they improved it this time around. Much much smoother and many times it feels like i'm just using a normal phone. My absolute fav thing about this phone is how well it just sits in my hand when folded shut whilst connected to my trusty huawei freebuds 3 and enjoying music as im walking around in a busy crowd. It wasnt long ago i got a huawei watch fit 3 that i been using with a galaxy A15 and now with the z flip but now i wanna rock only the flip and buds when i go out. The phone reminds me mainly of a portable music player mixed with gameboy advance sp and im all for it! Also the volume rocker is so conveniently placed to adjust the volume easily on the fly. Responding to texts when folded shut is easy when using the good lock setup. So yeah this thing is just a joy to use, something i havent felt with a phone in a long time. And then knowing it turns into a full fledged smartphone experience the second i open it up 😁👍

honestly totally fine with the price increase for 4gb more ram, a bigger battery and more storage. it'll help the phone last longer

I've been running z flip too but since google removed the assistant from cover screen, it took a great feature out of what it was a very useful phone. Now i have to manage with bixby in the cover... some say it's security but you can still use the assistant with the phone opened but with the screen off and locked. Algo i ride motorcycles and can't use Google assistant anymore for the same reason and had to associate bixby instead. I wish they bring it back because for me, google assistant is a must and i don't want to take a foldable phone always unfold in order to make use of it.
