You can just apply a quick dilation by a factor of 1/2 and you the unit circle! That easy!

Wouldn't it be much simpler to just do tg(pi/a)= 1/sqrt3 = sqrt(3)/3 = tg(pi/6)?

You didn't need to use Pythagoras theotem at Just use tanx= 1/√3 (perp./base) and get the value of angle as 30degree, then use 30degree to find simpler. From India

I don't know what you were thinking, but your calculation of r does not make any mathematical sense.

(sqrt(3))² + 1² = r²
4 = r²
r = 2 (negative solutions don't exist when using lengths)
