You at least know the Pythagoras Theorem,

𝑎² + 𝑏² = 𝑐²

And you might know this basic trig identity:

sin²θ + cos²θ = 1

Now compare both.
𝑎² = sin²θ
𝑏² = cos²θ
𝑐² = 1
"implies" ⟹ 𝑎 = sinθ, 𝑏 = cosθ, 𝑐 = 1
⇓
ᶜ⊿ ᵃ = ¹⊿ ˢⁱⁿ ᶿ Now you can
ᵇ ᶜᵒˢ ᶿ imagine a triangle.

𝑦 = sinθ, 𝑥 = cosθ

Now you can apply Soh Cah Toa.

If we take the touching line in (1, 0) then the intersection between that and the arrow presented here has coordinate (1, tanθ)

similarly for the touching line in (0, 1), the intersection is at coordinate (cotθ, 1)
