NEW 2024 Caregiver Pilot launched 🇨🇦 Direct Canadian PR on Arrival ! | ZESTE IMMIGRATION

Caregivers from abroad are essential to Canadian families, greatly impacting the lives of children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities through their dedicated work. With the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot ending later this month, the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, has announced new, improved caregiver pilots. These new programs will enable caregivers to continue coming to Canada, aiming to make the caregiver pilot programs permanent.

Under the new pilot programs, home care workers will receive permanent residence (PR) upon their arrival in Canada. They will also be permitted to work for organizations that provide temporary or part-time care for individuals who are semi-independent or recovering from injury or illness. This new pathway will simplify the process for caregivers to find suitable employment with reliable employers and gain immediate access to permanent resident status upon arrival in Canada.

These PR-on-arrival pilot programs represent a significant advancement in Canada's efforts to address the changing home care needs of its diverse population. More information, including full eligibility criteria and application details, will be available before the official launch of the pilots.

Hello zeste immigration.... hope you can advise me. I graduated last year in Alberta (Business Administration Certificate program) and recently I have a job offer from a senior Canadian employer to work as Home support worker (NOC 44101). Do I need to study caregiver program to be eligible in this NEW caregiver pilot pathway? OR I just need a 6 months experience then I can apply? What is the process for this pilot program, as long as I complete the requirements I can directly submit? and by the way I am under 1 yr post graduation work permit right now, expiring on MAY 2025.
