From cooking everything from scratch, to kids eating escargot and adults not snacking, french food culture is WAY different from what we are used to in North America. But how people in France eat, cook and even grocery shop can teach us a lot! You should definitely watch this video before sitting down with a French family or at a French restaurant to eat.
So watch and explore French food culture with me, some of this stuff might shock you!

Thank you for watching, subscribing and supporting my channel, it means the world to me :)

...So, did I make you hungry?

When I lived in Angers, I ate so much Camembert! I remember that the family I lived with had a relatively small fridge, so they really had to go shopping every other day. Fun video!

The baguette as a utensil is so true. My husband uses his bread for everything when eating and when I asked him why he ate like that “he said because I’m French!” And I though he was full of it, I guess it’s a true after all! 😆

I am french and I remember it was very rare when a restaurant didn't have a kid menu. Okay there is not a lot of choice. It was often a steak/ burger/nuggets or breaded fish with fries or patatoes and an ice cream in dessert.

My teens did not grow up eating "kid friendly" food. Now they are adventurous eaters and appreciate actual ingredients and homemade food. They hate eating out. We're Americans and do hate all the preservatives, coloring, and overly processed "foods."

Coming late to the party here but just wanted correct one thing. Apart from very old people, NO ONE here eats at 7pm. Baseline is 8pm for everyone and 9pm if occupied previously.
