Traditional FRENCH DIET
This way of eating is the way our grandparents and parents used to eat. Many French people eat this way too.

Traditional American diet (even though some think this doesn’t exist) is pretty similar. Lots of organ meat and cheap cuts, roasted or fried chicken. Steak on Sunday. Corn, peas, carrots, potato and onion is a staple along with some type of bread like white loaf, corn bread or southern biscuits depending where you live, cottage cheese and a glass of milk. Can be whole or buttermilk, similar to kefir. This was how my grandparents ate.

Thank you for these tips! I have been implementing these ideals (cooking whole foods, not snacking) and have a higher respect for my food than I ever have. Love your videos 💕

I really do think that processed food is at the heart of all our problems. Quick to make, too much salt and chemicals, no fibre and quickly eaten with a spoon or fork. I think it's much harder to over eat when our diet contains whole foods and is balanced.

i think it would be so interesting to see what the cost is for eating this way in France. either you are able to get much better quality foods reasonably (than where i am in northern california) or to eat this way the budget must be much more. this kind of quality is available here in a few places still but the prices are super high. and lately even those sources have been bought out and offer lower quality, less fresh food. it's hard here for average person to afford this, therefore the sellers have to cut costs. very sad. also the mentality here is that animal fats and meats are bad for you and cause strokes and heart attacks. i've also seen diabetes blamed because of it as well. it's sad when your government lies to you to promote toxic grains sprayed with pesticide as heart-healthy and for years recommended 8 to 11 servings of cereals and grains per day😢 they now say 6 oz of grain/cereal per day!!!!
