I have a doubt as to whether we can say

"It did not rain yesterday. So, I went for a long walk"

as an alternative to

"It did not rain yesterday, so I went for a long walk".

If yes, I request you to tell if this can be done in all the cases or it is bound to some limitations.

Honestly, the best way to learn is to practise it in the real world. I didn't like my College- all teachers were usually busy, trying to deal with difficult behaviour of other students. Finally, I've figured out that I prefer studying on my own. Reading books seemed to be relevent. It makes everything easier to understand. Especially, it helps to expand your vocabulary and notice how sentences are structured. Just make your move and grab a book...

  for, and, not, boys, or, yet, so;  "FANBOYS".
