Do not fit metal dust caps to your tyre valves

Video shows the white stuff that could lock your metal dust cap to your tyre valve and prevents you from unscrewing the dust cap to check the air pressure or put air in your tyre.

With Metal valve caps you need to use Silicone grease on the threads( any other grease may damage the rubber seal)

Yap totally agree. I just broke one of the tip of the aluminium valve stem and had to get a new one because of the metal cap got stucked to the valve stem and had to use a plier to open it. The mazda dealer quoted me $250 to replace the TPSM valve stem although I told them it was only the tip that got broken. But they said no you need to change the whole thing. I ended up going to local tyre shop and they replaced it for $40 bucks. Later I changed all existing metal dust caps to plastic one. 😊

Solution: Just spy paint the plastic dust caps, no one would notice the difference from a distance.
