Back in May, the US Customs and Border Protections Agency seized over 1,000 tons of goods from overseas because things seemed a little sussy. They also banned 6 companies from using a convenient loophole used to ship goods overseas without having to pay customs duties. So who’s to blame in this situation? Shein and Temu!

As someone who works with customs as a broker... this has been a huge problem for a while. The type 86 entries truly are meant for small businesses or in some circumstances of personal or gift shipments.

If found liable, of either fraud or gross negligence, they're in for a rude awakening. Also, if any of their brokers were privy to it, this would result in large fines across the board.

I hope Australian Authorities will go after Temu too. Their ads are so frustrating too and I keep blocking them only for Temu to evade the Block. I told Google that I refuse to get involved with Temu and if I continue to receive their ads that I'm going to consult a Legal Professional.

Funny enough, last summer my dad checked with our bank after some shady stuff happened on my mom's card and they suggested that, since she had been using Temu, they might be doing something with her info. She got a new card and I've been wary of Temu since.
