Is Temu stealing your data? Popular shopping app sparks privacy concerns

Temu, a popular marketplace where consumers can buy direct from factories overseas at cheap prices, is drawing concerns from lawyers and privacy experts who allege the shopping app can be “invasive” for unwitting users.

Temu is currently the subject of two proposed class-action lawsuits filed last year in district courts in New York and Illinois, which have not been certified. A third class action was filed in Quebec in March.

Honestly if someone hasnt gotten your personal data by now you must be staying off the internet. Targeted ads, those ones that pop up even if you've only spoken about a certain items, even drs who use debt collectors have all sold your info. It's not a unique thing.

The attacks on Temu are hardly due to any of the concerns specified. 😂 They are due entirely to the dent in the profits of the usual contenders. All of which abuse our data, all of which sell goods made in the same places, by the same hands as Temu.
