Tesla Acceleration Boost: Is It Worth It?

In this video I dive into Tesla’s acceleration boost that they offer on the Model 3. I do 0-60 runs before the acceleration boost and 0-60 runs after the acceleration boost and compare the results. The model 3 held up!

The conditions for these 0-60 runs weren’t perfect, but they were ideal. My Tesla model 3 started at 80% battery and is still on original tires in this video after about 45,000 miles.

The Tesla Model 3 acceleration boost is as advertised - it takes your 0-60 time down from 4.2 seconds to about 3.7 seconds, and I show that in this video.

Is it worth it? Well, there are 2 ways to get the acceleration boost. One is to redeem 9,500 referral credits, and the other is to pay $2,000. Either way, if you like speed, I say it is well worth it.

Thanks for this. I just got a 2020 model 3 and just saw acceleration boost on my app. I thought all model 3s and Ys had sport mode. I was wondering why my car was so damn fast. Great investment at 20k and 67k miles. 3 years of battery warranty still left with tesla.

THANKFULLY....I have a 2023 Model 3 RWD and can't get acceleration boost. LAST thing I need is more speed and spending $2k (I have ZERO referral credits ;( ). I drive in nothing but CHILL mode so if I want to 'feel' the speed, I just go back to standard.... But good info! AND THANK YOU JOJO....

Teslas are amazing ! I absolutely love my model 3 LR. This acceleration boost is really tempting ! 🤩

To get 100hp gain on a gas engine would cost at least 5k on a turbo kit / supercharger kit. It’s a good deal for 2k, also when you go and sell it or trade it in your car will be worth the 2k more
