The Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 30NOV2024

This California Zephyr #5 made its station stop in Fort Morgan at 0558 MST (13 min. late). With power provided by P42s #51 & #44, the 8=car consist made a single spot - two car passenger stop with 3 passengers stepping from car 3 (sleeper) and 1 detraining passenger from car 7 (coach). Then 4 new patrons boarded car 7 for the ride west. With the passenger work safely completed at both cars, the high ball was given and on a clear signal the Zephyr departed for its next stop at Denver's Union Station.
My thanks to the operating crew for the greetings this morning.

Hi Mike! TY for 5. Gonna be in the 50s & all next week too. I am grateful not near the lake effect snows! Watched some of the storm chasers & it’s deep& parts of I 90 shut down . Thanks Mike- nice work again. That ice flow is from the potable water fill on that car; interesting to see. Prob a minor leak in the Fill Valve, that causes that effect. Glad you are there at FMG, assisting with the passengers and crew. They surely appreciate it.
